GREEN LANTERN CORPS Writer David S. Goyer Confirms That The Movie Is Still In Development
Green Lantern fans were worried about the status of Warner Bros.' planned reboot after Justice League's box office run, but the film's co-writer has now confirmed that things are still moving forward...
It's been a while since we've had any updates on Warner Bros.' Green Lantern Corps movie, and many fans were concerned that the studio may put the brakes on the reboot in the wake of Justice League's disappointing run at the box office.
However, one of the film's co-writers has now confirmed that things are still moving forward... for now.
IGN caught up with David S. Goyer at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, and when quizzed about the current status of the film, he assured them that it is still "in the works", while also acknowledging that things could change on that front at any time.
Here's what Goyer said when asked of he had any idea when fans could expect to hear more about the project:
"I don’t know. Who knows, especially with what’s currently going on with the DC universe? There’s obviously a whole recalibration happening with that right now."
Last we heard, Rise of the Planet of The Apes director Rupert Wyatt was rumoured to be in line to helm the picture, but, again, it's been some time since we've had any updates on that.
What do you guys make of Goyer's comments? Are you glad to hear Green Lantern Corps still appears to be on track? Sound off below.
