SPOILER ALERT: Green Lantern After Credits Scene Leaks!

SPOILER ALERT: Green Lantern After Credits Scene Leaks!

The movie may have been far from great, but the after credits scene was worth the price of admission alone! Hit the jump to take a look at it for yourself before Warner Bros. has it taken down...

Hal Jordan is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax...he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

It was inevitable really. Just like the after-credits scene from THOR and Wolverine's cameo in X-Men: First Class, Green Lantern has become the latest victim of the internet! Here is a fairly low quality version of the movies post-credits scene which was posted on YouTube a couple of hours ago. Check it out before it's taken down! (Many thanks to "bulavonc666" for the heads up on the following video.) And as the headline clearly states, the following contains some pretty major spoilers!

With an all star cast which includes Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris and Mark Strong as Sinestro, director Martin Campbell's Green Lantern is set to be released in 3D on June 17, later this month!

I agree with the person behind the camera "Thats it?". Whatever. Unless GL makes TONS of money we'll never see Sinestro go full on villain

So that's like the best part of the whole thing?

I would think it's an important moment in the GL universe and should be more than a post-credits scene.

Xenix: I completely agree. As I said in my review, it felt completely tacked on and unnecessary. We barely got to know Sinestro and he was actually friendly towards Hal at the end...why would he just suddenly turn evil? Pfft, I love the Green Lantern comics, but "Make Mine Marvel Studios"! :)

I agree with this opinion on the credit scene:

"What was shown during the movie was his arrogance that he could control that power. His descent and how fear corrupts even the greatest GL is going to be shown in the next movie. By now, he was just feeling great because the power is immense."

@ xenix and joshwilding i think we were watchig a differant movie, i saw sinestro distraught over his friends death and wanting vengance, when he realized the guardians couldnt or wouldnt do what was necisary, he took things into his own hands (quite literally)

He might be, I don't know. But his opinion on it makes sense to me. Just because he has a yellow power ring doesn't mean he's going to be the bad guy right away. He could hide the ring from others. Kinda like he was trying to keep it hidden from the guardians in First Flight.

gamecreatorjj- Good thought bro. :D

Like they can't explore his darkside in the sequel? Of course they will explain this in the sequel. A true conflict of philosophy. Green Lantern 2 will be insane!

THIS MOVIE WAS EPIC!!! i dont understand everyone's frustration with this. i am a devoted reader and this movie was the closest comic book movie that was made after the original material. this was so much better than that crappy xmen first class movie.

Xenix- Hmm, I guess I might be remembering it wrong. Guess I should rewatch it.

Anyways, I'm sure we'll get a good arc of Sinestro in the sequel, hopefully. Seeing his downfall from the GL corp. It'd be a shame if they didn't.

Also, I'd like to see them adapt what FF did with Hal & Sinestro's friendship. Theirs a lot of potential if they can do the sequel right.

The lack of OA scenes made me irritated. We don't see enough of any of the Corp.

@Xenix- I guess I REALLY need to re-watch FF... :F

I'd like to see Sinestro's more brutal side of justice and Hal's reaction to it, like in FF. I did like their friendship in Secret Origin. One of my favorite GL GN's. I did like that they took direct lines from the graphic novel and put it in the movie.

Did anyone else notice the scene where Hal's in his apartment and he says "Not bad, huh?" was in TV spots, but not the movie? I wonder how much was cut from this film.

I enjoyed the film and this scene :)

Still though, if the studio listens to the critics, they may keep the established universe but choose a diff hero, probz Rayner

Hope not though, Hal again please :)

I just watched the film online, and I thought it was MUCH better than what the reviews are sounding. Far from perfect, but still worth watching IMO.
And yeah, I agree that the scene's kinda unnecessary. As awesome as it is to see Yellow Sinestro in live action, it just seemed too swift of a transition from Green Lantern to Yellow Lantern (Especially since Sinestro actually acted friendly towards Hal at the end). Hoping that the sequel (if made) will help explain this.

I dont know why people keep talking shit about the movie when most havent seen it. It was a great and fun movie to see. You guys just pick on it for no reason. I understand the movie is a little bit fast, but its a fun movie. If u read the comics then you will understand the movie a lot better, but if you dont youll also understand it. Im a marvel fan but i definately liked Green Lantern better than Thor

HATERZ this movie was EPIC not just the acting overall but the CGI was great just what you would expect from a GL movie and remember it's the first one so it has to be about the origin so give it a rest wit your bullshit waaawaaaa I don't like it then don't watch it and don't watch the next one haters IMO it was the best movie this year up to now Thor was good first ass blew and GL ruled

tea: Lol, the same thing happened when Abin Sur took off his ring...the suit didn't disappear until he died a few seconds later. However, every time Hal took off his, the suit went too! Yet another problem with the overall production quality of this movie. :)

The Scene makes no sense within the context of the film you just saw. The reason why Sinestro wanted to use the yellow ring in the first place was because he believed it was the only way to defeat fear/parallax, because it seemed to him that will power wasn't strong enough to do it, but hal clearly proved that will power is stronger than fear. meaning, there is no reason what so ever for Sinestro to try and wield the yellow ring. its power was just proven inferior. And even in the scene we last see him everything is fine and dandy for the lanterns on Oa.

It was just shoehorned in, instead of being saved for a really cool moment in a sequel.
