From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. James Gunn is the director and the story is by Nicole Perlman and James Gunn, with screenplay by James Gunn.

Whoa! Loving that art!!

It's always fun to compare concept art to what we ultimately get in the movies. Seems like half the time, the concept art tends to look even more awesome than what we get. :P

@0megaDaGr0dd... I'm not sure what's going on with the designs of those jerseys, but also I know is, if I played for the Flames, I'd wear my jersey backwards so it would look like I had raging hardon all he time.

One thing I hate about these concept art is that they never make it into the movies! I know it's too expensive, but damn these concept arts are awesome!

Things i want for the sequel:
1) Nebula, Gamora and Drax needs development(especially Drax who got his ass kicked a bit too much).
2) Aliens that actually look like aliens.
3) the Novas being Novas instead of being a SF version of the Keystone Cops.
4) Cosmo being a lieason for the Guardians.
5) Peter being more heroic and less jokie.
6) Adam Warlock.

@ LensmanMatt92 To be fair, the other Guardians also got their asses kicked not just Drax, and i agree on number 5, Star-Lord needs to be more heroic and less of a joke, Star-Lord comes off as as trying too hard to be funny, instead at times Star-Lord is really cringe worthy and embarrassing, heck he got his ass kicked too

The powerful epic scene in the Kyln Prison, was when Drax The Destroyer is the last member to join the team and formed Guardians of the Galaxy

These are fun.

The only design I *DIDN'T* like in the film was how the mask folded and essentially disappeared. Considering the Walkman and tape deck references, it'd've made sense for it to fold up into something that was reminiscent of old Sony headphones (heck, the glowing eyes would double for the orange foam ear pieces of the old Sony design).

Colors in a comic book movie? That's blasphemous.
