By JoshWilding - Aug 05, 2014 10:08 AM EST

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro, Guardians of the Galaxy is out now! What did you guys think of the movie?

Great movie! But without Madelyn Marie it only gets 4/5 stars.

Glad to see they're still pushing Hooked On A Feeling. Even though it has a fleeting appearance in the movie.

Pssh...the only things good were the makeup and effects. Story was generic as hell. Ronan needed a top hat and mustache to twirl.

Interesting how few references there are to the larger universe...

Story was acceptable, some aspects didn't work for me such as the Infinity Stone/Infinity Gem aspect and the dance however other than that its a very enjoyable movie. Deserves to earn at minimum $600M

@TheCaptain

Shee-yit, man. I actually went to see the movie and didn't like it overall. It aint like I'm going on every GOTG article and trollin'. Why you gotta hate on me for hatin' the movie? Did you write it? Malekith was underdeveloped and I had hoped Marvel had learned from that, but apparently they didn't cuz Ronan was the same.PEACE.

Just saw it for the second time and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. My grandparents even went with me and enjoyed it and they haven't seen any Marvel movies. And I didn't notice Ronan's head being twisted sideways as others have said on here. I think he either disappeared like the Red Skull or he is indeed dead because he blew up. Bring on Ultron!

Yeah, the hate on this website gets exhausting... Yet people secretly will probably purchase every one of the movies they bitch about...

And someone else made a good point on here a while ago, but the movie is not about Ronan, it's about Guardians, you have to develop the hero first. Now, do I wish they wouldn't have killed him, so that there's the threat that he may return, sure. But other than that, he served his purpose, he was a kree radical, and a puppet of Thanos.

@IronMountaineer
Funny you say that. I liked this movie, But I have definitely talked smack about x-men movies and crappy fantastic four and made fun of all the old school movies like Hasslehoff Nick fury, Old Cap movie, Dolph Punisher, etc and I still bought all of those movies. LOL.
At least I watch them before I talk smack about them. I hate it when someone hasn't even seen the movie and says it sucks, its a stupid concept, the actors suck… What ever, Ill see it before I say it sucks, and while I might say it sucks I collect the movie anyway! I even own the worst CBMs ever.. Holly Berry's Catwoman, Super girl, Howard the Duck and Green Lantern.

Anyone else hated when the fighters formed a barrier shield around Ronans ship? It's like cmon, are they gonna have a magic trick for every single situation in these Marvel movies, that was a little too convenient. like, when else would that have become useful?

What was "underdeveloped" about Ronan?

Marvel Studios is always good making their fight scenes boring. (eg. Drax vs ronan)

I'll download this shit and save it under the "recycle bin" folder.

Dont feed the troll...at the end of the day no one in the universe gives two [frick]s what he thinks, and the box office, critics, and overall reception just show he is a retard.
