From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. James Gunn is the director and the story is by Nicole Perlman and James Gunn, with screenplay by James Gunn.

Oh, so Gamora could've looked badass?

The design they went with in the film wasn't bad though. I like the rough look shown here though.

ckal - I agree with the pronounced yellow around her eyes, but I would keep the red highlights too. Give her a wild appearance!

@GuardianAngel

Me neither. She looks like a cartoon character.

I've heard Zoe wanted to look "pretty" in the film and thus some of the design change that followed.

That concept art is okay, but I'd rather the yellow around the eyes. Hopefully they'll make slight changes for the better in GOTG2.

But I'd give it all up for the same way she looked in the first GOTG if they just make her a bit more powerful like she was in the comics. After all she is the deadliest woman in the universe. I'd like to see her start earning that title. They could easily explain her enhanced powers with implants.

They basically did the same thing with Cap 2 so it should work.

The comics version is infinitely better, this Gamora's movie version is a children's version and they took 99% of her strength.
