From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. James Gunn is the director and the story is by Nicole Perlman and James Gunn, with screenplay by James Gunn. It releases in U.S. theaters on August 1, 2014.

YES love Rocket already.

However, never thought I'd see the day where Bautista was delivering better lines than Chris Pratt and John C. Reilly.

Or just Pratt.

Huh? How don't they know how to promote the film? Everything else we've seen is comedic and fun. This was too with yes, some serious bits.

So what? They can't show the serious moments or what? They have show us the fun parts and now they want to put something serious. It has been one of the best marketing from marvel, and they're really good at marketing

LISTEN TO MR GLASS he speaks the truth. Before He was NIck Fury he was MR.GLASS

"There are probably only four
or five individuals in the
world who can claim more
knowledge of comics than
myself. I've spent a third
of my life in a hospital bed
with nothing else to do but
read. I have studied the
form intimately. I have seen
the patterns in them... The
references to social and
cultural events and the
atmosphere that surrounded
them. I've come to believe
that comics are our last
link to the ancient way of
passing on history.

The Egyptians drew pictures
on walls about battles, and
events. Countries all around
the world still pass on
knowledge through pictorial
forms.

I believe that comics, just
at their core now... have a
truth. They are depicting
what someone, somewhere felt
or experienced. Then of
course that core got chewed
up in the commercial machine
and gets jazzed up, made
titillating - cartooned for
the sale rack."

Okay...can someone explain to me why the UK trailer is 100% better than either of the trailers we've seen? This trailer makes it look like an actual movie while the other trailers just make it look like a wacky sci-fi spoof type thing?

As another post-er said; They obviously dont know how to promote this movie.
