Sean Gunn Teases Rocket Raccoon's Emotional Journey In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

Bradley Cooper may have provided Rocket Raccoon's belligerent voice in the first Guardians of the Galaxy, but the actor behind most of the character's movements and personality on set was Sean Gunn, brother of director James Gunn. Gunn (who also plays the Ravager Kraglin) returned to the set to do the motion capture for the gun-toting raccoon in the sequel, which is due for release next year. In an interview with Comicbook.com, Gunn teased Rocket's personal journey in relation to the film's overall theme of maintaining a family.

"Oh yeah! Rocket has a lot of great stuff to do in this movie. There are a few relationships that are central to the theme of the movie and that really go towards keeping a family, and Rocket has the same sort of crisis of faith about whether or not he belongs in this family."

Gunn also confirmed his brother's statement about there being an Easter egg in the first film that no one has caught. James previously said he didn't plan on revealing what it was, but when a fan challenged that he might be leading fans on a wild goose chase, the director promised $100,000 if there wasn't one. According to Gunn, fans should keep looking.

"I feel like I should just take your $20 and then just make something up, but you see fans get crazy because these things that people want to know sooo badly," Gunn said. "A lot of times my brother tells me these things, and I just forget them because they're not all that important to me. It does exist...it definitely does exist. I don't remember if he told me or not!"

@Sickness1 - That's awesome man. Glad you were able to overcome the dark place in your life. Im kind of going through something myself over the last few months. You know what really helps? A cup of coffee late at night looking at the stars.

Now I know it sounds cheesy but hear me out. There are billions of stars in the sky. The way there are millions of people on Earth. If we spend out time miserable about something we will be stuck in the same loop over and over.

Sometimes we have to be explorers and see what else the world has to offer besides the stress and misery.
