THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY HOLIDAY SPECIAL Reactions Declare It A Joyous Christmas Miracle

The first social media reactions for The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special have found their way online, and it sounds like the latest Marvel Studios Special Presentation will be unmissable...

A handful of critics have been given the go-ahead to weigh in on The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, and it sounds like filmmaker James Gunn has done it again!

As you can see below, it's being praised as "a new Christmas classic," and another emotional addition to the MCU. Gunn has managed to tug on our heartstrings with both of his Guardians of the Galaxy movies, so perhaps we shouldn't be surprised that we'll need to reach for the tissues this holiday season.

It also sounds like Cosmo steals the show, with Maria Bakalova clearly making her mark as the character. As expected, though, this Marvel Studios Special Presentation will primarily focus on Drax and Mantis as they visit Earth to acquire Kevin Bacon for their pal, Star-Lord.

We'll hopefully be able to share a review with you soon, but these early reactions definitely bode well.

In The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, the Guardians, who are on a mission to make Christmas unforgettable for Quill, head to Earth in search of the perfect present.

Marvel Studios' second Special Presentation stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and features Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, and The Old 97's, with Michael Rooker and Kevin Bacon.

James Gunn wrote and directed The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Gunn, Sara Smith and Simon Hatt, with David J. Grant and Lars P. Winther serving as co-producers.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will premiere on Disney+ on November 25.

This and Vol.3 are the last MCU related things I looking forward, I'm sure Gunn is leaving Marvel with a bang (well, two).

I think I may have reached the point of not caring about the Disney+ shows at all, that doesn’t mean it won’t change like if daredevil is about to come out, I’ll watch it. But I won’t just watch it, I’ll change my mind about how I feel and watch it. And how I feel is that the shows suck. I fully expect to be appointed, not disappointed, appointed, affirmed, aghast, and not a bit surprised, at the low quality compared to the movies. Compared to the MCU phase 1-3 (plus a few from 4)

OK, back to being positive, somebody else comment.

Hope so. Love the Guardians but the teaser for this is awful.

@thewanderer - Just looks painfully unfunny and cheap in that Disney+ kind of way.

Looked pretty funny from the trailer. Glad we have Bacon in the MCU.

“Christmas miracle”? Nah… maybe a Christmas celebration. This show isn’t a miracle. 😐
