John Krasinski has announced the start of production on A Quiet Place: Day One, Paramount's upcoming spin-off prequel of their blockbuster A Quiet Place series.
Michael Sarnoski (Pig) will helm the feature, utilizing a screenplay he co-wrote with Jeff Nichols (Mud; Loving). The film's story is based on an original idea from Krasinski, who will serve as a producer on the project, alongside Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller.
The upcoming film will star Academy Award-winner Lupita Nyong'o (Black Panther; Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) in the lead role, with Joseph Quinn (Game of Thrones; Stranger Things) and Alex Wolff (Pig; Old) appearing in supporting parts. No further cast details have been provided, but we imagine there will be surprises.
A Quiet Place: Day One hits theaters on March 8, 2024.
