I don't know. Nothing fills me with more dread than mentions of Justice League.

I haven't seen a lot of movies this year, but this was by-and-large the worst one I saw. So bad. So dumb.

@regularmovieguy - Looks like her meeting with the Russos during filming of Infinity War and Endgame led to something big after all. Nice. Thanks for the update. 🤘🏽

It's not as bad as some make it out to be, but it's not that great either

OT: Was it just revealed today that the red stormtroopers from Episode IX are called Sith Troopers? I thought I might have hear the whining that Kylo wanted the past to die, killing it if he had to or that they're bastardizing Sith Troopers from the Old Republic

@PeterCipher - Counter-point: Kylo is the best character in the new Star Wars films by a country mile, and Adam Driver is single handedly carrying these movies

I actually really enjoyed this movie. The film is a standard slasher film elevated by the interweaving of the Superman mythology. I’ve read that a lot of people found Brandon’s transition from normal kid to superpowers killer to be very sudden and with little explanation, which I don’t really agree with. For me there were three factors at play that led Brandon to become Brightburn at the end: 1. Onset of puberty 2. Alien ship slowly reprogramming him to take the world 3. His emotional support system ultimately failing him. The reasoning for how and why the kid turns bad was super surprising. The amount of depth to it was fantastic. I think the film’s execution is not a strong as it could be, with it feeling like too much may have been edited out make it either quicker or more streamlined. That said, what we got was still quite good.
