It's been announced that acclaimed horror anthology series, Creepshow, will return to Shudder for a fourth season just in time for Halloween, and a hugely entertaining first trailer (via FearHQ.com) is now online.
The show is based on the 1982 movie of the same name from horror legends George A. Romero and Stephen King, which was envisioned as an homage to the classic EC horror comics of the 1950s, such as Tales from the Crypt, The Vault of Horror and The Haunt of Fear.
The film spawned a couple of inferior sequels, before the spin-off series launched in 2019.
"Creepshow is still the most fun you’ll ever have being scared. A comic book comes to life in a series of vignettes, exploring terrors ranging from murder, creatures, monsters, and delusions to the supernatural and unexplainable. You never know what will be on the next page."
Like any anthology, some episodes are better than others, but if you haven't watched the previous three seasons, they are well worth checking out.
Have a look at the trailer below along with a new poster, and keep an eye out for Tom Atkins (Halloween III, The Fog, Night of the Creeps), who also appeared in the original movie.
