I too just got back from the 10pm. While the first 25 minutes were disappointing, immediately when that book gets read, it's like a toggle switch gets flipped from "trying" to "doing".

probably the sickest movie ive ever seen. but overall good movie im glad i went. starts a little slow but it brings you in perfectly and it never lets up. the ending was the best part imo.

[frick]ING ATROCIOUS MOVIE!!! NOT SCARY!! NOT FUN!!! For those who never saw the original i guess you think this is cool for the initiated this does nothing to update the originals well...ORIGINALITY!! Totally lame acting by forgettable window dressing actors who mope about spewing the same 60 min denials of impending doom jesus and i thought we already got smart enough to make CABIN IN THE WOODS!! Alas the joke is lost on everyone here who claim to have liked this disaster.

reboot/remake/reimagining, showing total respect to the original, fantabulous!

I loved the remake, but was upset at the fact that they cut out the part when she's in the cellar singing "We're gonna get you, not another peep!" It looked so creepy in the trailer.

I saw the movie last night, and though I wasn't entirely blown away by the beginning, when it got going, it got GOING! The effects were some of the most squirm-in-your-seat gruesome I've seen in a movie in a very long time. Jane Levy was awesome and hot (even with her as a Deadite, I'd still hit it; necrophilia be damned). And though the ending seemed to drag on after *SPOILER ALERT* David fights off Eric and blows up the house, the whole thing still offered up several of the most gruesome dismemberments ever!

And don't even get me started on that post-credits scene! Let's just say that this film is definitely in continuity with the original trilogy.
