HACK/SLASH Is Now Being Developed As A TV Series
For a long time, fans have been looking forward to seeing Cassie Hack slash her way across America on the big screen, but a new report reveals that Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli's cult horror comic is now being set up as a TV show for Relativity. Click on for the details...
We've been hearing about a Hack/Slash movie for years now, but the latest update from THR claims the cult horror comic will now make its way to the small screen. No cast or director yet, but the show will be exec produced by Adrian Askarieh and Ray Ricord for Relativity Media's new television division, with Skip Woods (Swordfish, Hitman) on board as writer.
The plan is apparently to adapt the comic as a "gritty show in The Walking Dead mold."
"Hack/Slash centers on Cassie Hack, a woman who symbolizes the cliche of the lone girl who survives at the end of every horror movie. However, the emotionally damaged girl not only survived but has become a killer of killers. Along with a burly protector named Vlad, Hack travels across the country hunting slashers in the vein of Halloween's Michael Myers, Friday the 13th's Jason Voorhees and A Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy Krueger."
What do you guys make of this? Glad we're getting a Hack/Slash TV series, or would you have preferred a movie?
