Andy Muschietti has been keeping fans updated about work on It: Chapter 2 for a while and he's now shared a very cool behind the scenes shot of Jessica Chastain after she finished shooting the highly anticipated sequel (she's presumably on her way to Montreal for those Dark Phoenix reshoots).

As you can see, the actress appears to be covered in blood, something which could be a throwback to what happened to Beverly Marsh when she was a youngster in that very bloody bathroom scene.

The sequel will feature Bev and the rest of the Losers' Club returning to Derry as adults to take down Pennywise once and for all but the child versions of the characters will also be appearing in flashbacks. That didn't happen in the Stephen King penned novel, so it's hard to say how large a role they'll have.

"the child versions of the characters will also be appearing in flashbacks. That didn't happen in the Stephen King penned novel, so it's hard to say how large a role they'll have."

This is literally how the novel is structured, Adult section intertwined with the child section, bouncing between the two.

@FilmStudent - Wilding obviously hasn't read the novel. That's evident from every IT article he puts out.

Hell, I'm not even sure he can read with his constant spelling errors and lack of proofreading.

Uhh... That's EXACTLY what happened in the novel, Josh. The story is a mix of flashbacks and the Losers' Club when they are adults.

Do some research. It literally takes 5 minutes.

@LORDbuckethead - More than one news outlet has been reporting on IT with factual inaccuracies. And on all occasions it's because the article writer has never read the book.

@FASELI - Yes, which is also the case here.
