Jane Levy, 22, has been quickly moving up the Hollywood food chain with starring roles in ABC's Suburgatory and a starring role in Evil Dead remake. A role that was originally planned for Mirror, Mirror's Lily Collins, but she had to drop out. Jane will be playing, Mia, which has been described as the female version of "Ash."

Jane tells marinij.com that landing her Evil Dead role was a dream come true.
"For a while, whenever I was asked what my dream role would be, my answer was always to play a killer or a psychopath. I get to do that in this movie, although I'll be possessed while I destroy my victims. So basically, it's a perfect job."

When asked to elaborate on what intrigued her about the Evil Dead remake, she responded:
I really wanted to work on "Evil Dead" because of how different it is from "Suburgatory." I guess that's my main goal in this industry, to work on different stuff and to play a wide range of characters. That process of creating a new person is so fun for me. I love the initial makeup/hair tests before the start of a new job; I'm always campaigning for a new hair color or length, anything to look as different as possible.

This role also intrigued me because of how much I will learn, mostly technical stuff like special effects. That's fascinating to me. I had to get my body "casted" for this role so they can make me prosthetics. That process entailed getting your whole body covered in green goo, like the stuff they put in your mouth for a tooth casting, and then being papier-mâchéd. It was the coolest thing ever.

The Evil Dead will be directed by Fede Alvarez. The film stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, and Lou Taylor Pucci. It will be released on April 12, 2013.

Jane Levy would b better 4 a Ultimate Marvel Mary Jane, looks ridiculously identical 2 the way the character is drawn, as 4 regular MJ, if were talking young; Jessica Stroup, older; Alexandra Breckenridge

Going back 2 the topic at hand, I trying 2 remain optimistic bout this film, enjoyed the first series, but it's nothing too amazing so don't mind if they give it a new spin, at least Raimi n Campbell r involved, that's gotta count 4 something right?

Why travel all the way to New Zealand to film a movie that takes place in the woods? Why not just film it at some log cabin in the Midwest?
