Just yesterday, we learned that Star Trek Into Darkness and Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch was added to the cast of Guillermo del Toro's next directorial effort Crimson Peak. The haunted house thriller, which begins production in February 2014, has Emma Stone (The Amazing Spider-Man) and Charlie Hunnam (Pacific Rim) attached to star as well. Now, according to Variety, recent Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) is in final talks to join the impressive cast. Character details are currently unknown, as the script is being re-written by del Toro and Lucinda Coxon. However, the film (described as a "gothic horror story") reportedly "centers on a woman who discovers that her husband might not be whom he appears to be." Chastain previously worked with the prolific director on Mama, which was executive produced by del Toro. Variety also confirms that the actress is still considering taking the role of Jane Porter in Warner Bros.' Tarzan movie, "but parts of the deal are still in play." Crimson Peak will be produced and financed by Legendary Pictures, while Universal may also finance at some point. Due to its deal with Legendary, Warner Bros. will likely distribute the film.

I really like her. She was definitely the strongest actor in Mama. Easy on the eyes as well.
