I think you could be right. This could be a good project for the two of them, as long as Burton is careful with the tone.

As a guy who grew up with the original, I have to say that I REALLY enjoyed the '90s show. I wish NBC had stuck with it beyond the first season.

Agreed, Ed! The Ben Cross series was very good. I remember watching it with my parents as a kid.

Leee, it's certainly different from anything you'd see today, but at the time the damn thing was a genuine phenomenon. You just have to keep in mind when it was produced.

Gmoney84, and understand something: I HATED the idea they were doing that '90s version, but the minute I started watching it, I realized what a great idea it was. You know, Kevin Williamson often credits Dark Shadows as being his inspiration for The Vampire Diaries, and if you watch the show it's easy to see what he means.
