The power of Christ compels you... to watch the first trailer for My Best Friend's Exorcism!

Prime Video (via FearHQ.com) debuted the teaser for its upcoming adaptation, which is set to premiere on the streamer on September 30, on Saturday, and it looks like a devilish good time.

Based on Grady Hendrix's best-selling 2016 novel of the same name, the comedy horror stars Elsie Fisher (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Eighth Grade) and Amiah Miller (The Water Man, War For the Planet of the Apes) as best pals Abby and Gretchen, respectively, who find themselves with a head-spinning problem when the latter is possessed by a demonic force after going missing in the woods.

"The film focuses on Abby and Gretchen, who are best friends, and on a night at a friend's parents' cabin, they go off for a walk, they end up in a strange building in the woods," director Damon Thomas tells EW. "Something bad happens and Gretchen from then on starts to act strangely."

Abby is informed that her friend may require an exorcism by an evangelical Christian wrestler played by GLOW's Christopher Lowell, and the pair begin to gather the necessary blessed items to perform the ritual.

Check out the trailer below along with a poster, and let us know what you think in the comments.

The year is 1988. High school sophomores Abby and Gretchen have been best friends since fourth grade. But after an evening of skinny-dipping goes disastrously wrong, Gretchen begins to act…different. She’s moody. She’s irritable. And bizarre incidents keep happening whenever she’s nearby. Abby’s investigation leads her to some startling discoveries—and by the time their story reaches its terrifying conclusion, the fate of Abby and Gretchen will be determined by a single question: Is their friendship powerful enough to beat the devil?”
