Lionsgate has debuted the first official trailer for their upcoming psychological thriller Never Let Go, which stars Academy Award-winner Halle Berry (X-Men: Days of Future PastJohn Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum) in the lead role as a mother doing her best to protect her twin sons from an unspeakable Evil that has taken over the world.

As per the synopsis, "as an Evil takes over the world beyond their front doorstep, the only protection for a mother (Halle Berry), and her twin sons is their house and their family’s protective bond. Needing to stay connected at all times – even tethering themselves with ropes – they cling to one another, urging each other to never let go. But when one of the boys questions if the evil is real, the ties that bind them together are severed, triggering a terrifying fight for survival."

Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have EyesCrawl) helmed the feature, with a screenplay from the writing duo of KC Coughlin and Ryan Grassby (Mean Dreams; V-Wars; The King Tide).

In addition to Berry in the lead role, the cast features Percy Daggs IV and Anthony B. Jenkins as her twin sons.

Never Let Go will be the first of two releases for Berry this year, along with the Netflix action comedy The Union, where she'll star opposite Mark Wahlberg. Her recent credits include MoonfallBruised, John Wick: Chapter 3 - ParabellumKingsman: The Golden CircleKingsKidnapExtant, and The Call

She also appeared as Ororo Monroe, a.k.a. Storm, in the 2014 blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past, her most recent time playing the iconic part. While nothing's been confirmed just yet, there's been ample buzz that the original X-Men star may be in line for a cameo in the highly anticipated Ryan Reynolds/Hugh Jackman-starrer Deadpool & Wolverine later this summer, but only time will tell.

Never Let Go is expected to hit theaters on September 27, 2024!

I’m intrigued ngl , looks like it could be decent at the least!!.

I do think maybe the trailer revealed a bit too much…

Would have been cool to have the audience guessing if the threat is real or is the mother making it up for some reason but oh well.

I’d rather rewatch the “can you make me feel good” scene from Monsters Ball.
