Pretty cool. Still going to see this movie. I rarely go for horror movies of any sort, as anymore they are almost always disappointing. Anyone see the Orphan this year? That looked good in previews, but it was shit, utter SHIT! Hopefully this'll make up for it. It looks like it'll entertain at the least.

I liked Orphan better when it was called The Good Son.

Yeah this type of horror is usually entertaining anyway. They don't take themselves too seriously..and of course we get to look at Fox for a while.

Hahaha i'll totally see this movie, maybe not in theaters, but eventually! It looks really dumb, but entertaining. Plus, this movie will without a doubt have some hot scenes with that skank megan fox. I'm sold!!!

im with TheMyth, horror movies are usually all the same and shitty and not worth spending the money on to go see.

This looks more like a movie to rent or stream

yeah i might see this on dvd. is this supposed to be a horror/funny movie? i'm not sure after watching the trailers. anyway i guess its a perfect scenario to have megan fox as perfect eye candy, her one and only attraction in acting roles

The worst thing for me about going to the theater for Horrors, the people... they scream and jump and teenagers are all over yakking and texting on phones screaming at inappropriate times... it's nerve wracking. Comedy's in the theater are the same, only with people laughing, I mean 'hee-hawing' at shit that isn't even funny. I saw Funny People it's opening weekend and I had this guy behind me braying like an ass through half the movie at stuff that only he thought was really that funny, like the dick jokes. CONTROL your laugh and scream audibility in the theater people! You may be the unfortunate soul I finally snap on and do horribly sadistic things to.

Yea Rorsch, I really don't see how this won't be worth my 8 bucks. lol yes the original 'Orphan' was much better.

Grif... you have a point lol. I wouldn't say it was the best, but come one! Who didn't enjoy it? If you didn't you might have your pants on too tight.
"Gonna take more than a poke in the ribs to put down this old dog."
*schluck*
"Yup, that'll do it."

I think this movie will be a bit better though lol

Anybody saw "The Unborn"??? It kicked ass in the previews, was that utter shit as well???

Myth- "I mean 'hee-hawing' at shit that isn't even funny" i actually peed a little when reading it and i'm still giggling while typing LOL :P

Grif- I hope to god you're not kidding. Not only was Jason X my very favorite Jason movie but it was also one of my favorite horror movies of all time, I SHIT YOU NOT!!! IMO, it equals Freddie vs. Jason! The concept was awesome, the death scenes were the best ever made in the series and Lexa Doig did an astronomical acting job concidering the movie she was in!!! Kane Hodder is and always will be the best Jason ever!!! He totally sold the uber jason scenes :)) I know you're probably laughing at me as much as you laughed in the theaters but, wadda ya gonna do? I do believe it was my very first time spending more than 20$ on a DVD without shedding a tear ;P

Shaman, Jason is my favorite horror icon. All others are his bitches, lol. I liked 6,7, and 9 the best. I have a friend who loves Freddy and we always have arguments over who is the best. He will try to argue how Freddy beat Jason in the movie lol.
Shaman
Shaman - 8/26/2009, 10:10 AM
Myth- LOL Riiiiiiiiiight... cause Freddie beat Jason by having Jason hold his severed head at the end LOL ;)

Grif- Well good then, it was meant to be laughed at :)) As long as everyone had a good time, then they succeeded!!!

Teabag- 6 was very good ;)

I hate all the Friday the 13th movies. Jason X was probably the best one but they are more comedies than horrors. Grif you said" Best horror movie ever, i was laughing my ass off" lol, i don't go to horrors to laugh, i go to get the shits put up me! Granted its rare that that happens but i don't want them to stop trying and instead churn out these "fun" horrors...which do have there place. I loved Evil Dead, Drag Me To Hell etc, but they had there moments of real suspense aswell as the giggles.

Teabag American Werewolf is one of my favorite ever movies, and The Thing is up their with the original Halloween and The Exorcist as a serious hair on the back of your neck horror! Also love The Shining, Ju On, and if you can stomach it, Martyrs has some terrifying moments..the movie ends up just being sickening though.

Its a French movie about a girl thats kept prisoner as a child and tortured. She escapes but is traumatized for years and decides to find out why she was taken. So she and her friend see what they can find out. It starts of great with really creepy scenes and great acting, but then just degenerates into torture porn. Some people love it, i cant stomach it.

The original Holloween Rorsch?!? I remember laughing at how silly it was as a 7 year old. Same with Freddy and Chucky though. I guess in all fairness, I'm just one of those people who is nearly impossible to frighten. I'm the guy in the room just shaking my head and laughing while the rest of the room screams and piss' themselves. I always found Jason intimidating because it seemed there is no way to stop him aside from just running away and hoping enough victims fill the space between you and him. Freddy was a joke, I understood as a kid that as long as your not afraid of him, he has no power over you, so I simply wasn't afraid lol. I felt like I could take Chucky and Micheal Myers is just a man, 'Evil Incarnate' my ass!

Movies dont scare me exactly, but i know a horror is doing its job if im at least tense or on the edge of my seat..or very occassionally..actually a bit creeped out. Halloween was the original slasher movie. Carpenter made great use of music and the corners of the screen to really scare the bejaysus out of me as a kid. It still stands up as a very tense thriller with actual likable characters! Maybe you should watch it again. Jason was just a fat, retarded knock off of Michael i thought. Of course all of the sequels ended up going the same direction. Freddy never scared me either...and Chucky was hilarious.

lol, see Jason gave me a feeling... like you couldn't escape, and like you said, kept me tense. I'll give you the music, I watched it again last year after finally seeing the remake by Rob Zombie(which has me psyched for his sequel) the music did shoot those moments into gear, but I just don't feel threatened by the character. Chucky was lame lol, only children could really be afraid of him. Remember Puppet Master!?! I mentioned above a friend of mine who is a Freddy Krueger fan, and he and I have some intense debates about the characters(old friends). I bet if you where in the room preaching Micheal Myers the roof would explode, lol. Just an example of 'to each his own' ;)

I was thinking of some movies that did scare me as a kid... Pennywise the Clown had me scared shitless! "They all float"
Shaman
Shaman - 8/27/2009, 7:45 AM
As a kid, Chucky and Darth Vader were my worst fears, no joke! Then Freddie came and scared me even more. Jason i could always laugh at and i don't understand how it could have become my favorite slasher character through the years. As for IT, i didn't see it until... this year!!! So naturally i was dissapointed. I mean, that was a long ass dry movie with not enough Tim Curry and a big alien spider at the end, like WTF?!?!?!?! Plus let's not mention Tackleberry trying to pull off a believeble performance as a lead character with a god awful pony tail that reaches to his ass!!! LMFAO :P
