In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up long-dormant demons that possess each of those friends in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.” FilmDistrict will release in theaters April 12, 2013.

While I know Sam and Bruce are helping produce it and stuff, I just wish Bruce would be onscreen too. I guess I am not ready to let go of the hope of him doing another. Still wish he would have done Jason vs. Freddy vs. Ash.

But wishes are dreams, and dreams aren't worth the paper they are written on... oops, didn't mean to review the comic version of that movie script there. my bad. heh.

anyways, this movie DOES look killer, and I will go and see it. but, in my heart, I know where my "Hails to the King" will be to, baby. ^_^

It is going to suck not seeing Ash in all his chainsaw carrying, boomstick firing glory. Well, hopefully one of these new characters will turn out to be just as entertaining as Ash.

It looks like this will have just enough nods to the original series to keep us all happy but will take us to the place Raimi originally intended but couldn't afford or didn't have ability to (he was just a rookie after all).
