*SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON 2 PREMIERE OF CHUCKY*

For those who have seen the show so far, things have not been going well for Jacke Wheeler, Devon Evans, Lexy Cross, and Andy Barclay (the latter being the protagonist of the original 3 Child's Play movies and Cult of Chucky) and their war against the persistant serial killer Charles Lee Ray, aka Chucky the Killer Doll. Season 1 ended with the villain and his lacky/bride Tiffany not only getting away with muder (literally, murding Child's Play 2 co-protagonist Kyle), but with Chucky splitting his soul into multiple Good Guy dolls a la Voldemort. So not only has Chucky escaped, but with him posessing multiple dolls, he's more dangerous than ever!

The premiere episode of Season 2 seemed to make the situation even worse. Not only are Jake, Devon and Lexy stalked by a mocking Chucky and then framed for murder, but are now sent to a Catholic school as punishment for said murder. But they were the lucky ones.

Poor Andy got in the worst. He was last seen at the end of season 1 attempting to foil Chucky's plan by hijacking the truck most of the posessed dolls were in.....only to be held at gunpoint by Tiffany in her doll form (she seemed to have the same multi-posession idea Chucky had) and taken hostage. The premere opens with Andy attempting a heroic sacrifice by driving the truck off a cliff in an effor to at least partially thwart Chucky's plan. It would seem to be the end for the Chucky/Child's Play franchise's original protagonist.

Or IS it?

During the Chucky Season 2 panel at NY Comic Con this past weekeend, Andy's actor, Alex Vincent, made a surprise appearance at the beginning of the Q&A portion to inquire if his character was really dead. Chucky creatior and showrunner Don Mancini decided to, in turn, ask the audience if they wanted to see Andy alive and welll. The collective cheers of support seemed to indicate as such. Whether or not Andy is indeed alive remains to be seen, but the fact that Mancini seems to be listening to fan input can only give hope that Andy's long war against Chucky isn't over just yet! Fingers crossed, everyone!

After his diabolical plan to invade America’s children’s hospitals was foiled in season one, Chucky now seeks revenge on those he holds responsible: surviving teens Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Björgvin Arnarsonq) and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), along with his ex Tiffany, now his sworn enemy. Meanwhile, can “Jevon” make it as a couple in the face of adversity at their new Catholic school, not to mention a brand-new onslaught of terror from the demon doll?

Chucky Season 2 airs Wednesdays on USA and SYFY!

Guess tv revivals of old movie franchises is the new trend

Get sean astin or corey feldmon back for a big role and do a Goonies show focused on one of their kids, with the rest of the classic cast making guest appearances at least

Zaslav would just cancel it during its rough cut stage.
