Fox's drama pilot Locke & Key, from producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, has already cast Miranda Otto as Nina Locke. Now Deadline report that Sarah Bolger(The Spiderwick Chronicles, In America) is set to join up as her daughter Kinsey. The pilot has been adapted from the Joe Hill comic by Josh Friedman and is being directed by Mark Romanek(One Hour Photo, Never Let Me Go).

Kinsey is the middle child in the Locke family and is trying to cope with the loss of her murdered Father. Here is some background on the character, though it may not mean too much to those that haven't read the comic yet(Me!).

Before her father was killed, Kinsey used to have a rockstar hair and a brithfull personality, but now does days are gone. When Sam Lesser and Grubb came to their house to kill her father she hided herself with her little borther over the roof, and although everybody may think that was the most clever thing to do at that moment, she thinks that she wouldnt have had been "such a coward". When her family gets to the Lovecraft mansion she changes her look completly because she cant stand the fact that everybody may see her as if she is crying for attention but after realizing that now she cant even recognize herself she desides to chage it back. Her biggest fear is the fact that she cant hold on her emotional feelings and hate herself for being scared all the time.

Not at all familiar with this actress. I do hope she does the role justice. Great character, great comic.

Well, I am sorry I have never heard of this comic, I will look into it

But Sarah Bolger I have definetly heard of and she is a great actress. Not to mention one of the most gorgeous women I have laid eyes on. And its good to see one of my country's few good actresses get a part in an American comic book tv show. Again, dont know what the character is like but Im sure Sarah will do it justice

@longbow
If you want to judge her acting skills, watch the Tudors, she plays Lady Mary in that and she is particularly good in the Spiderwick Chronicles, In America & Stormbreaker

@grif
... Im not going to dignify that with an answer, what the hell women are you into? She is bloody gorgeous

Someone should have proof-read the character description paragraph.
