The first trailer for the upcoming fifth installment in the Scream franchise (titled simply "Scream") is set to debut online at some point this week, and thanks to EW, we now have a look at some official stills featuring the main characters.

The images spotlight returning stars Neve Campbell (Sidney Prescott), Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers), David Arquette (Dewey Riley), and Marley Shelton (Judy Hicks), as well as new cast members Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sonia Ammar, Jack Quaid, and Melissa Barrera.

Details on the newbies are few and far between, but there's a decent chance most of them will end up as Ghostface fodder, anyway! Speaking of the mysterious masked maniac, we also get another look at this latest incarnation of the knife-wielding killer, who will almost certainly turn out to be "someone you know."

Check out the stills at the link below.

UPDATE: Paramount has announced that the trailer will be with us tomorrow!

Paramount Pictures teamed with Spyglass Media to co-produce and distribute Scream, which has Ready or Not duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett on board to direct. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick are co-writing the screenplay. Producers for the film are Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and William Sherak, with Kevin Williamson executive producing.

Plot details are still under wraps, but a brief synopsis tells us that the story will focus on "a new killer who puts on the Ghostface mask and begins targeting teenagers to resurrect secrets from Woodsboro's corpse-filled past."

Scream slices its way into theaters next January.
