While nothing has been officially announced, we're hearing that the first teaser trailer for Scream 6 is set to be released at some point in the first week of December, and a pair of screenshots have now seemingly leaked online (via FearHQ.com).
Though the validity of the images has yet to be confirmed, they certainly appear to be legit, and are being widely circulated as the real deal.
The shots feature returning cast members Jenna Ortega (Tara), Melissa Barrera (Sam), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy) and Mason Gooding (Chad), alongside new recruit Dermot Mulroney and Scream 4 standout Hayden Panettiere as Kirby.
The second image gives us a look at the latest incarnation of the iconic masked killer known as Ghostface wielding a shotgun.
Previous set photos have confirmed that the slasher sequel will leave Woodsboro behind, with Ghostface taking his/her reign of terror to the Big Apple. A logo leak also appeared to reveal the official title: "Scream !!"
Neve Campbell will not be back as Sidney Prescott (you can read her statement here), but Courteney Cox is expected to reprise the role of Gale Weathers. David Arquette will not return as Dewey Riley... for obvious reasons!
Scream 6 is set to slice its way into theaters on March 31, 2023.
