Paramount has released a second trailer for director John Krasinski's A Quiet Place, and it features some intense new footage from the mysterious sci-fi chiller.

The exact details of the plot remain under wraps, but we do know that the film follows a family, led by Krasinski and real-life wife Emily Blunt, as they lead a completely silent existence in an attempt to keep some vicious creatures (aliens?) who hunt by sound off their trail.

Check out the new trailer and poster below, and let us know what you think. A Quiet Place hits theaters everywhere starting on April 6th.

I'm curious onto how quiet this film actually is. Will there be some sort of narration or inner thought exposition?

I can't imagine these characters being completely quiet the whole movie, other than some screams and a soundtrack.

@KWilly - Hope they don’t whisper, weird when humans whisper.

@KWilly - I am sure there will be flash backs when things were normal, or we will hear their voices as inner thoughts etc.

Has a Last of Us vibe and looks pretty darn creepy. Plus the real-life couple of Emily Blunt and Krasinski (lucky bastard!) makes this even more intriguing. Looks solid to me.

Ah, so deny the creatures of the night, you try to make as less noise as possible. How delightfully devilish of you humans. I did a similer thing to avoid a Serbian lyberian.

this is one of those movies where showing the monster is gonna make or break the movie, isn't it?
it's a cool concept thou.

They already showed the monsters shadow and you can make it out from that....which is more than the venom trailer showed us.@Spidey91 -

@GentlemenCipher - in shadows is fine. but I mean, some movies tend to lose its mistery/creepy factor when the monster is shown full on screen. see: Cloverfield 1 and 2, Mama, Super 8, pretty much all of the modern horror movies.

@Spidey91 - I disagree with cloverfield, as its big mother [frick]er, and it was unlikely stop showing it,

They can’t not show the monsters, and sometimes it gets annoying keeping them in the shadows, so it’s best to put some mystery around and there origins.

WB needs to make John play Hal Jordan and Emily Blunt as Carol Ferris.

As for this movie I like the concept of it and hope it will be good.

This is a very rare situation where the audience of your specific showing will completely make or break this movie.

Someone talking/whispering, coughing, sneezing, laughing, eating loudly, crinkling their bag of candy or chips, looking at their phone, and god forbid a baby crying, and the whole experience is ruined.

With Emily Blunt as my wife, we wouldn't make it long.

We'd be making some noise, if you know what I mean......ha!

Maybe it'll be like "It Comes at Night" except (SPOILER ALERT) something actually comes.

@DeathSeal - That movie was trash. The one free movie I won tickets to where I felt like asking for a refund. [frick]ing time vampire.

@Mercwitham0uth - I missed it the theater and when I saw it on Amazon or Netflix I pretty excited because I just remembered the trailers. Then I watched it...My time would have been better used if I would have beat my head against the wall for an hour and a half.

@DeathSeal - There wasn't many people in the theater for that movie. There were a few film reps though. I think one of the other guys in the audience knew one of the Reps because he asked "How come you gave me tickets to a snuff film?".

Also heard a lot of people saying that it was a "waste of time" and "that's it?".

I was looking forward to the film and it turned out to be a total dud.

I like the concept of the film. This probably might be a sleeper hit. I'll like to check it out when it's released.
