SUSPIRIA: Tremble At The New Trailer For The Upcoming Remake Of Dario Argento's Horror Classic

Dario Argento's Suspiria is widely regarded as one of the most terrifying horror movies of all time, but this latest trailer for the upcoming remake certainly suggest that this retelling of the story in in safe hands with Luca Guadagnino (Call Me by Your Name).

Unlike the first teaser, we actually get some idea of what to expect of the plot here - although it definitely still maintains an air of enigmatic dread.

The story focuses on a young American woman (Dakota Johnson) who joins a world-renowned dance company in Berlin, only to find herself becoming entangled in a nightmare which also involves the troupe's artistic director(Tilda Swinton) and a grieving psychotherapist (Lutz Ebersdorf).

Check out the trailer below along with some new character posters and let us know what you think. Suspiria hits theaters a week earlier than previously advertised on October 26.

Suspiria is a movie I have never seen, and I have been avoiding trailers because of all the praise that gets placed on the original (and to avoid spoilers obviously)

Is it really that good? Is it actual HORROR? Or is it all just hype for a film that was ahead of it's time 30+ years ago?

@xfan320 - its pretty trasncendant for its time. Its the visuals and surreal atmosphere that make it such a classic. Distorted camera angles, crazy lighting.

Its basically a tsunami of sound, rage and imagery thats oddly poetic. Its a product of a director whose style cant really be replicated so it will be intersting to see how this renake does.

We'll see if it can touch the original.

These trailers and posters have taught me something....these ladies need to go out into the sun.

Color me intrigued!

Sidenote: I feel the need to watch the original flick before I see the new one in case it's good too.

I think a new momentary trend in Hollywood should be remaking movies with as much of the original cast and director as possible. Certain movies would be awfully amusing. Anything with Schwarzenegger and/or DeVito would be a riot. Can't stop the remake train anyway.

@Menks123 - Just realized how upset I am DeVito isn't a member of The Expendables. If they included him but didn't justify his action set at all it would be the funniest thing ever.

@MosquitoFarmer - It makes no sense that he isn't in there.

Imagine him in a gully suit ghillie suit with a 50 cal, giving cover to Stallone and Arnold? It just works.

If anyone was looking to watch the original film, it is available to stream on the Popcornflix app. It’s a legit streaming app available on iPhone, Fire Stick, PS4, etc.

I’ll give it a shot but visually it looks dull and bland compared to the original. Great cast though.

I’m sorry I haven’t been following this movie so I apologize if this has been pointed out already but that old dude is definitely Tilda Swinton, we all see that right? WHy bother with a fake name hahaha

Anybody heard about Asia Argento? She's the latest predator in the #MeToo movement. Bit of a step down, since she used to be a big supporter of the movement. Bit hypocritical too.
