Variety reports that Tom Taylor has joined the cast of Sony and MRC's adaptation of The Dark Tower as Jake Chambers: a young boy who joins the Gunslinger on his quest to hunt down the demonic Man in Black.
Jake is the first member of Roland Dechain's "kat-tet" (a group of individuals brought together by a mysterious force known as ka), which also includes the principal characters of Eddie and Susannah Dean, and Father Callahan.
So far the cast also includes Idris Elba as Roland, Matthew McConaughey as the Man in Black, and Abbey Lee as (possibly) Tirana. The Dark Tower is set for release on February 17, 2017.
