2K Games has just released a new launch trailer for The Darkness II, the sequel to the 2007 game based on the Top Cow comic of the same name. The trailer shows Jackie Estacado using some of his new abilities with a Nine Inch Nails accompaniment.
It looks like we have a general idea on the story. Jackie has the darkness, other people want the darkness and Jackie is going to do what it takes to stop them.
There is no actual gameplay as of yet, but a demo of the game recently made its way onto Xbox live and the Playstation Network. Players could get a firsthand look at the new "quad-wielding" system and executions firsthand.
The Darkness II, rated M for Mature, hits Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on February 7.
The Darkness is an ancient elemental force that allows those who wield it access to an otherworldly dimension and control over the Darklings who dwell there. When the host of The Darkness conceives offspring, The Darkness bounds into the newly formed vessel and leaves his old host to die. The living vessel of The Darkness then assumes his eternal, infernal birthright on the eve of his twenty-first birthday when he is at once blessed and cursed by the power of The Darkness-Wikipedia
