THE EXORCIST: BELIEVER - Dark Forces Set Foot On Holy Ground On Chilling New Poster

Blumhouse has shared a new poster for David Gordon Green's The Exorcist: Believer, and it finds one of the sequel's possessed girls taking in a sermon in a local church (which can't end very well).

"Body and the blood."

Following the recent trailer, Universal/Blumhouse has released a new international poster for David Gordon Green's The Exorcist: Believer.

The one-sheet highlights a key moment from the teaser, as one of the possessed girls makes her way up a church aisle while the priest delivers his sermon. As you might expect, things soon take a turn for the demonic.

Fans of William Friedkin's horror masterpiece are not expecting too much from this legacy sequel, especially after the (overall) negative response to the final two instalments in the director's recent Halloween trilogy. That said, the trailer does have its moments, and the return of Ellen Burstyn as Chris MacNeil is sure to be a draw.

Will we also see Linda Blair as Chris' daughter, Regan? Green remained tight-lipped when asked during a recent interview, but previous reports have indicated that she will be making an appearance.

"Exactly 50 years ago this fall, the most terrifying horror film in history landed on screens, shocking audiences around the world. Now, on Friday, October 13, a new chapter begins. From Blumhouse and director David Gordon Green, who shattered the status quo with their resurrection of the Halloween franchise, comes The Exorcist: Believer.

Since the death of his pregnant wife in a Haitian earthquake 12 years ago, Victor Fielding (Tony winner and Oscar nominee Leslie Odom, Jr.; One Night in Miami, Hamilton) has raised their daughter, Angela (Lidya Jewett, Good Girls) on his own. But when Angela and her friend Katherine (newcomer Olivia Marcum), disappear in the woods, only to return three days later with no memory of what happened to them, it unleashes a chain of events that will force Victor to confront the nadir of evil and, in his terror and desperation, seek out the only person alive who has witnessed anything like it before: Chris MacNeil."

The Exorcist: Believer also stars Ann Dowd as Victor and Angela’s neighbor, and Jennifer Nettles and Norbert Leo Butz as the parents of Katherine, Angela’s friend.

The movie is set to hit theaters on October 13, with sequel, The Exorcist: Deceiver, arriving on April 18, 2025.

I thought the trailer was awful but this is literally the last thing you should be concerned about 🤦‍♂️

Y’all are soft as baby shit if you can’t go two seconds without someone’s skin color getting in your head.

The original is coming back to theaters for the 50th anniversary in October. Speak with your wallet, see the original instead and DON'T WATCH THIS JOKE.. seriously..

When I watched the original at the drive-in, I thought it was total schlock crap. To make it worse, the hot chick I was with totally loved it and was into it. I think I ate about 18 pounds of concession stand crap while I blue balled it through that mess.

Every one of these movies since has been worse than the previous. Hard pass.

This director is so cheap and lazy that they just took an old promotional image of Linda Blair from an old movie to use for this movie.
