THE GRUDGE: Check Out A Gruesome New Red Band Trailer For Nicolas Pesce's Upcoming Reboot

A new red band trailer for The Eyes of my Mother director Nicolas Pesce's remake of Japanese horror classic The Grudge is now online, and it is most definitely not for the weak of heart... or stomach!

The original Japanese version of The Grudge, "Ju-On," is widely considered to be a classic, and the first American remake starring Sarah Michelle Gellar was actually pretty good. The two sequels that followed were far less successful, but next year director Nicolas Pesce (The Eyes of my Mother, Piercing) will try his hand at a reboot - and it looks seriously gruesome.

If you've seen Pesce's previous work then you'll know he's not afraid to bring on the gore, and this new red band trailer for his take on The Grudge features some disturbing and very grizzly stuff. Will it be scary? That remains to be seen.

The impressive cast includes Andrea Riseborough, Demián Bichir, John Cho, Betty Gilpin, Lin Shaye, Jacki Weaver, William Sadler, Frankie Faison, Tara Westwood, Nancy Sorel, and Stephanie Sy.

Check out the trailer below along with a new poster, and let us know what you think. The Grudge hits theaters on January 3rd.
