The New Poster For THE NUN Teases Another Scary Installment In THE CONJURING Universe

Producer James Wan keeps on winning when it comes to the horror genre. Following the successes of the INSIDIOUS and SAW franchises, the producer has found increasing potential in THE CONJURING property.

As fans of James Wan patiently wait for the Aquaman trailer to arrive at SDCC, followers of his earlier work will appreciate the brand new poster for his latest Conjuring spinoff. Directed by Corin Hardy and starring Taissa Farmiga, The Nun is the fifth installment in Wan’s cinematic universe. Using relatively low budgets while lacking recognizable IP's, this endeavor has surprisingly met more success than Universal’s Dark Universe attempt.

As indicated by the first trailer, The Nun further establishes the lore that was established in the second Conjuring movie, focusing on the origin of the recognizable demon. Ideally, the film lives up to Annabelle: Creation and Wan’s first two films, rather than the disappointing first spinoff, Annabelle. Horror has been on a roll this year, hopefully The Nun keeps the genre in line.

Hopefully this is good, so far the only bad one was Annabelle. Who knows maybe this will be crap and they will make a good prequel

This Conjuringverse turned out to be really great imo, i like it and i say that as someone whome scary/horror movies simply bore me out. The Conjuring movies are stressfully creepy to me, and that's something i really appreciate since horror movies took a cheap and boring turn imo, as well as it is the main reason why i became a huge James Wan fan. I love the production value and how they make a huge effort to give these movies an unsettling, chilling and ominous atmosphere while trying to tell a story.

I'll try to watch this at theaters.

OK, scratch that; the big 4.

@MUTO123 - And the 4 of them started with one single movie about one character, leaving little seeds to grow and interconect.

I have to admit that Shyamalan got me by surprise with the ending of SPLIT, i wasn't expecting that lol

I’m really excited for this. When was the last time we got an atmospheric horror film set in a Romanian Castle?

I want this shared horror-verse to succeed. We need more original Horror Icons. Last one in my opinion was Jigsaw during Saw's glory days.
