The Resort will be released by Vertical Entertainment in select theaters and On Demand this Friday, April 30. Written and directed by Taylor Chien (Cornered), it follows four friends who head to Hawaii to investigate reports of a haunting at an abandoned resort in the hopes of finding the infamous Half-Faced Girl. However, when they arrive, they soon learn you should be careful what you wish for!

This fun horror movie stars Bianca Haase, Brock O'Hurn, Michael Vlamis, and Michelle Randolph, and we were lucky enough to catch up with lead actress, Bianca, to discuss her role as Lex. Known for her roles in How I Met Your MotherHot Tub Time Machine 2, and the upcoming Superficial Intelligence, Bianca's star is on the rise, and she steals the show in this terrifying trip to Hawaii.

We recently shared our interview with Bianca about her role in the movie, but while we had the actress on the phone, we had to ask if she's interested in tackling a superhero role on the big or small screen. The Resort star also opened up about previously auditioning for undisclosed roles in the genre.

"Yeah, I think the opportunity to play a superhero...you see those movies where they’re very well established superheroes that people have been in love with decades, and then they’re coming out with new superhero shows that are within that genre like The Boys," she said. "It’s fun how many opportunities there are to have superpowers. It’s definitely a fun and exciting idea as an actor."

"I have auditioned for things before. I’ve gotten close, but haven’t ever been offered one because if so, I’d have taken it! If the opportunity came up to have a superhero persona, because they usually have their streetwear look versus their superhero look, it would definitely be fun working on the juxtaposition and dynamic of having to juggle two lives. It would be really fun."

It's fair to say that there are a lot of great comic book characters Bianca could bring to life in film or television, and it's clearly just a case of waiting for the right one to come along. In the meantime, you should definitely check out her work in The Resort this Friday (watch the trailer for that below).

Who would you like to see Bianca Haase suit up as in a comic book adaptation?

Superhero roles are the dream these days, aren't they?
A safe role you can be in for multiple years

@Blergh - Yup and a lot of fun, also I can see a lot of actors going for many of the really in depth ones.

Not that unknowns don't get cast but how close do you really thing she came? She's a bit actor and this is her most substantial role. I mean, nothing wrong with keeping your head up and telling yourself what you have to to keep a positive outlook, but I think that might be a stretch.

@inkniron - well Pom Klementief, Tom Holland, the actresses cast as Ms. Marvel and Ironheart were unknowns. So it's not that much of a stretch.
Marvel tends to go for mid-tier actors that are stuck on TV (possibly easier to push into multi year contracts) for their main parts but for the smaller players they do look into small time performers

It's that we already have a She-Hulk, but I could've seen her as Jennifer Walters.

And speaking of our current She-Hulk, I've been watching Perry Mason. Maslany is great in it and can definitely see her as She-Hulk too. I just wonder why it's called Perry Mason though, since he's barely in it.
