Underworld: Blood Wars wasn't quite able to reach the heights of its predecessors, grossing around $80 million worldwide, making it the lowest grossing film in the long-running Kate Beckinsale-led franchise. However, thanks to a reduced production budget of $35 million, the film still managed to become a modest-sized hit. Does this mean we still might see that rumored sixth installment down the line? Only time will tell.

In the meantime, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has released the full set of special features for the upcoming home video release and announced that the film will arrive on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on April 25.

Check out the special features below:

Special Features:
  • Official Movie Graphic Novel*
  • Four Featurettes:
    • "The Evolution of Selene"
    • "Building a Blood War"
    • "Old & New Blood"
    • "The Evil Evolved"

The next installment in the blockbuster franchise, UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS follows Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Director: Anna Foerster

As a fan of the franchise I have to say the last one was the worst, despite having some interesting new characters.

This post just reminded me that she mentioned Marvel's plan to revamp/reboot the Blade franchise. I figured she was a shoe-in for the role of Victoria Montesi if they went that route.
