WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS Season 4 Trailer Invites You To The Undead Dance Party Of The Summer

FX's bonkers horror comedy series What We Do In The Shadows is set to return for its highly-anticipated fourth season on July 12, and we finally have a full trailer (via Fear HQ) to sink our teeth into.

Based on what we see here, it looks like we'll be picking up with our vampire (and vampire hunter) pals a short time after the events of the season 3 finale.

Laszlo (Matt Berry) is acting as a surrogate father to the freakish baby that crawled out of the body of the dearly departed Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch); Nandor (Kayvan Novak) is still searching for love; Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) is struggling with his impulsion to kill every vampire he sets eyes on, and Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) finally realizes her dream of opening the hottest vampire nightclub in the Tri-State Area.

With their house in ruins, it seems quite a lot of the season is going to play out in said nightclub, which will make for a welcome change of scenery. It also gives the gang an opportunity to bust out a few undead dance moves!

Check out the trailer below along with an updated synopsis, and let us know if you're looking forward to the return of What We Do in The Shadows in the comments section.

"In the shocking season three finale, Nandor, Guillermo, and Nadja left Staten Island to go their separate ways while Laszlo stayed home to care for the creature that clawed its way out of the chest cavity of the deceased Colin Robinson — aka Baby Colin.

This season, the vampires return to Staten Island to find their mansion on the verge of total structural collapse — and with no money to repair it. While Nandor’s eternal search for love finally yields results, Nadja finally realizes her dream of opening the hottest vampire nightclub in the Tri-State Area. Laszlo struggles with the question of nature versus nurture as he tries raising Baby Colin to be anything other than an energy vampire. And even Guillermo finds himself on a powerful emotional track that touches on his love for his family, and for others."

So I this show just inspired by the movie, or do the movie characters also exist in the show? Like are these supposed to be the same characters?

@UGLYsonic - It's a continuation of the movies if anything. Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi are responsible for both.

Easily one of my Top 5 current shows, SO excited for it to be back on air!

Also, that song choice has me wishing for a vampire Rasputin appearance.

Still gotta watch the third season, but good to know this show is getting a fourth season. This show really is amazing.

Sorta OT: I finally started watching Boba Fett, and I just realized the droid in Jabba's place is voiced by Matt Berry. And that droid's more fun than it should be.

@bkmeijer1 - I could have sworn that the droid was voiced by Jackie Daytona. He sounds like just a regular human bartender.
