WonderCon '13: 7th Evil Dead Film Already Planned?

There is a rumor that the Evil Dead series will go up to a seventh film.

Keep in mind, this is just a rumor, but Bruce Campbell has recently said that after Sam Raimi's Army of Darkness 2 and Fede Alvarez's Evil Dead 2, a seventh film will cross the stories of Mia and Ash.

"Today at WonderCon, Campbell and Alvarez both talked about the potential sequels to their respective storylines, with Alvarez saying that his ultimate dream would be to make a seventh film that united the Ash narrative from Sam Raimi’s movies with Mia’s story from Fede Alvarez’s new chapter. ”I think seven is a nice number,” said Campbell."

Sounds good to me! I hope this is true, because there is also a rumor that the upcoming remake actually takes place AFTER the original trilogy.

What do you think of this rumor? Sound off below, and let me know!

It better not jump the shark like the Saw franchise, that's the only thing I'm afraid that might happen. I wonder how original they can keep it going.
