In the wake of
Marvel's Civil War II, there will be a new face underneath the
Iron Man helmet. But as you may have heard, it won't be Rhodey or Pepper, it will be Marvel newcomer Riri Williams, a 15-year-old prodigy who builds her armor while enrolled at M.I.T. Introduced earlier this year in
Invincible Iron Man #7, Williams was able to reverse-engineer one of Tony Stark's older
Iron Man armors and it seems she'll use that experience to invent her own set of full-body armaments as she relaunches the
Invincible title later this year.
Many comic book readers are predicting that Tony Stark will bite the dust at the conclusion of
Civil War II, setting the stage for Williams to take up his mantle. Could something similar occur in the MCU but with Ty Simpkings' Harley Keener? Unlikely but that hasn't stopped fans from speculating.
