Believe it or not, it's now been ten years since Iron Man hit theaters. The movie essentially gave birth to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and while we didn't know it at the time, it created a multi-billion dollar franchise which has produced hit after hit and a world so large that it's hard to keep track of just how many iconic superheroes now call it home. Needless to say, the movie is nothing short of historic.

With Avengers: Infinity War breaking records and giving Iron Man perhaps his most satisfying story arc yet, we're heading right back to the beginning and looking at the first suit he donned in the MCU.

That is, of course, the Mark I armour he donned back in 2008 and fans definitely appreciated seeing a comic book accurate suit kick off Tony Stark's big screen adventures. From alternate designs to an in-depth look at how it was created in concept art and behind the scenes photos, you guys won't want to miss these. Boy, things have come a long way from Mark 1 to Nanotech. From fighting terrorists in caves to Thanos on titan. Who would have thunk it?

@Prime8

I honestly prefer the Iron Man 1 and 2 suits over the nanotech. Nanotech is too OP and doesn't have the physicality of the original practical armor.

@Prime8 - It's called advancements in technology. Since 2008 we've gotten all of these new technologies (Netflix and streaming services, alternatives to iPhones, VR headsets, Kickstarter just to name a few): https://list25.com/25-life-changing-technological-advances-the-last-decade-has-seen/2/

It's only a matter of times 'till he has it under his skin.

Watching that scene where he's breaking out of the cave... I could only think how hot it was for him. Like... It's gotta be 95 degrees or worse, with metal plating and explosions all around him.

If that was real life, he'd pass out before he make the entrance, lol.

@KWilly - Well he's in a cave so presumably it's cooler in there.
