Most of the Justice League cast shared their support for Zack Snyder's Justice League following Wednesday's massive announcement, but Ben Affleck has now weighed in with a lengthier, more heartfelt response to the news.
The actor, who played Bruce Wayne/Batman in Dawn of Justice and Justice League, made an appearance on the latest episode of Kevin Smith's FatMan Beyond show, thanking fans for their continued support and explaining why he was so happy that Snyder was finally going to be able to see his original vision for the film to fruition.
"I'm sorry I couldn't make it on there live, but I'm very excited that Zack's getting a chance to finally see his vision realized," Affleck said in the video. "I think it's a great thing, I'm really excited for the fans to get to see it. I want to say thank you to the fans, because is was their enthusiasm and their passion that made this happen. Without the fan support, I don't think it would've happened. But I love Zack, I love his version of the movie, and I look forward to everyone getting a chance to see it."
Affleck's comments suggest that he has already watched the "Snyder Cut," and was happy with what he saw!
Affleck may have left the role of Batman behind (Robert Pattison will take over in Matt Reeves' The Batman), but he's still clearly passionate about the character and glad that his take on the iconic DC hero will now (hopefully) get the sendoff it deserves.
