The SnyderVerse's time has ended, but ahead of "Full Circle" Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League director Zack Snyder has another round of never-before-seen photos from the latter two DCEU movies.
First, we have Ben Affleck suited up as the Knightmare Batman who takes a stand in a world that's been desolated by Darkseid and the corrupted Superman. Talking of the Man of Steel, one of his soldiers is also given the spotlight; little is known about who that army was comprised of, but we have heard they would have likely transformed into Parademons at some point.
Snyder wraps things up with a shot of Kiersey Clemons as Iris West.
She first played Barry Allen's love interest in Justice League, only to be cut by Joss Whedon. Her cameo was restored in Zack Snyder's Justice League, though that moment isn't expected to be acknowledged in The Flash movie when Clemons reprises the role.
As noted, the filmmaker is going to bid a final farewell to his time in the DCEU this weekend with a "Full Circle" event featuring screenings of all three movies.
Benefitting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, it will hail from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, with all three movies playing on IMAX screens. The event also supports the Autumn Snyder Tribute Fund in memory of Snyder's daughter, Autumn Snyder, who died through suicide in 2017.
As much as many fans would love to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse, DC Studios is rebooting the franchise as the DCU, and Snyder isn't expected to be involved with that in any way, shape or form. Still, it's not outside the realm of possibility that James Gunn and Peter Safran will bring the director's vision "full circle" by allowing him to end his story in a comic book or animated series.
