JUSTICE LEAGUE: MORTAL Concept Art Shows Batman's Funeral, Black Suit Superman, And More
A new batch of concept art from George Miller's (Mad Max: Fury Road) scrapped Justice League: Mortal has been released and it focuses on a number of key sequences and fan-pleasing/shocking moments...
Long before Justice League (and Superman's weird CGI) jaw arrived on the big screen, George Miller has plans to bring the team to theaters as part of a motion-capture movie which would have starred the likes of Armie Hammer, Megan Gale, Common, and a number of actors who are bigger names now than they were then. However, the writer's strike soon caused Justice League: Mortal to fall apart.
Various bits and pieces of information have surfaced about the project over the years but now some concept art has been released by Matt Hatton which shows a number of big moments from the movie.
There's Kent Farm in the Fortress of Solitude (made entirely out of ice in one shot), Batman's funeral with members of the League decked out in black versions of their costumes, Wayne Manor, Superman minus his trunks years before The New 52 did it, and the Caped Crusader watching his own burial.
