Justice League up against the Wall

We’re all well aware that the current writers strike in Hollywood has put the kybosh on various projects, including Shantram and Nine, but what about the Justice League movie, under the leadership of George Miller?

The verdict is still out, and we just don’t know what will happen. But there is enough speculation and rumor to keep us going until then.

Clint Morris over at Moviehole has heard that “the film is still definitely on track" and that "The cast is a lock as of today” (today being Tuesday!). Morris is predicting that when February comes next year, shooting will start and a “bunch of caped heroes will be cruising the clouds of Sydney.”

But Devin Faraci at Chud is of the opinion that Warner Bros. are making a huge gamble. Apparently a lot of people “in the know” believe that if the strike goes on to the end of this year, it won’t end until the actors and directors join them in the summer of 08.

Personally, and bear with me on this, but I’m hoping that the movie does end up on the scrap pile. As much as I want a JL movie, I don’t want a rushed and under-written movie.
