JUSTICE LEAGUE Will Feature A GREEN LANTERN Character After All If A New Rumor Is To Be Believed
DC fans had pretty much resigned themselves to the notion that Justice League would not include Green Lantern, but a new rumor suggest that the movie will actually feature one of the cosmic guardians.
We know Warner Bros. has Green Lantern Corps in the works for a 2020 release, but we might just see one of the ring-slinging cosmic heroes on the big screen again a lot sooner than that.
According to Umberto Gonzalez, Zack Snyder will be including a Green Lantern in Justice League after all, though he won't reveal who it'll be. In fact, all he gives us to go on is that the character will have a “funny sounding name.” That doesn't really narrow it down, but we can probably assume it won't be one of the human Corps members.
We'll have to take this with the usual pinch of salt for now, but it does make sense that the Green Lantern mythology would at the very least be alluded to in Justice League to set up the reboot in a few years time.
