There's a good chance Wonder Woman won't be the only prominent female DC character on the Justice League roster, as Heroic Hollywood has heard that Queen of Atlantis and wife of Aquaman, Mera, will also make an appearance in the Zack Snyder-directed superhero ensemble flick. Apparently the feelers are being put out for background on the character in advance of pre-production commencing on the movie this coming January.
Though they seem pretty sure Mera will feature in the film, they don't know if she'll actually suit up as a member of the Justice League or not. In the comics Aquaman and his lady love have what you might call a tumultuous relationship, and have even found themselves on opposing sides on several occasions - so if that carries over to the screen it should make for a very interesting dynamic between the two characters.
Just a rumor for now of course, but what would you think of Mera's inclusion in Justice League? Any casting suggestions? Justice League: Part One will be released on November 17, 2017, while Aquaman will swim into in theaters on July 27, 2018.
