RUMOR: Warner Bros. Execs Reportedly Knew From The Start That JUSTICE LEAGUE Would Be A Flop

A new report has surfaced claiming to offer some insight into the thought process of studio execs at Warner Bros. and it appears as if they believed from the very beginning that Justice League would flop.

Fans have questioned how Warner Bros. could allow Justice League to be released when Henry Cavill's CGI mouth looked so laughable and Steppenwolf's appearance differed from scene to scene. Well, a new report claims that studio execs at Warner Bros. were well aware that the DC Comics adaptation would be a flop regardless of whether the movie was ultimately a Zack Snyder or Joss Whedon cut.

It's said studio bosses wanted to get it in
theaters as soon as possible so they could move on to their next DC projects but the top brass reportedly still didn't know Justice League would flop quite so badly.

Still, it's why we never saw Joss Whedon and Geoff Johns promoting the movie and why Ciaran Hinds was never brought back to substantially increase Steppenwolf's role after it was made clear the plan was no longer for that to build to a sequel revolving around Darkseid. The studio actually blames Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for Justice League's performance, though, as execs believe it left a bad taste in the mouths of moviegoers and that doomed the sequel (of sorts) from the very start.

As always, take these claims with a pinch of salt but this definitely provides an interesting insight into the thought process at Warner Bros. in regards to Justice League! Right now, a handful of DC movies have release dates but with Flashpoint and The Batman still up in the air and a Justice League sequel probably not on the cards for a long time to come, it's clear that the studio still has a lot of work to do.

just can’t see a studio throwing supposedly huge amounts of money at a project they know will flop regardless how badly. But still.....
