The Threat Of Darkseid Looms In A Possible New Synopsis For Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE

What is apparently a new synopsis for Zack Snyder's Justice League has found its way online, confirming a few things we already suspected about the plot, as well as an impending appearance from Darkseid.

While we anxiously await that trailer, a new synopsis for Justice League has seemingly been unearthed in the pages of an unnamed magazine (via The Playlist). The detailed breakdown confirms several things that fans had already pretty much figured out about the plot, and also gives the villainous Darkseid a mention.

Though this is being reported everywhere as an official synopsis from Warner Bros., I have my doubts. For one, it's highly unlikely the studio would refer to Synder's previous DC flick as "BvS", and there's also the sloppy repetition of Darkseid's name at the end. Is it possible this magazine just cobbled something together based on info that was already floating around?

Have a read through and see what you make of it.

In the wake of Clark Kent/Superman’s (Cavill) death at the hands of Doomsday in BvS, vigilante Bruce Wayne/Batman (Affleck) reevaluates his extreme methods and begins reaching out to extraordinary heroes to assemble a team of crime-fighters to defend earth from all kinds of threats. Together with Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gadot), Batman seeks out cybernetically enhanced former college football star Vic Stone/Cyborg (Fisher), speedster Barry Allen/The Flash (Miller) and Atlantean warrior king Arthur Curry/Aquaman (Momoa). They face off against Steppenwolf (Hinds), the herald and second-in-command to alien warlord Darkseid, who is charged by Darkseid with hunting down three artifacts hidden on Earth.

Justice League is set to hit theaters on November 17.

So i'am gonna assume Darkseid will be seen briefly in the beginning giving Steppenwolf his marching orders, then at the end after Steppenwolf fails.

@TheBeard - Keep in mind that BvS and Civil War had essentially the same villain plot and everybody on here understands they were two very different movies (regardless of which one you preferred)

So with Justice League 2 delayed past its original date of 2019... we should'nt expect a sequel to happen until 2020 at the earliest. By then Marvel will have done Infinity War and Avengers 4 and Darkseid will seem like a copycat of Thanos and the scale will be impossible for DCEU to match.

DCEU done derped by not making Darkseid the focus of the Justice League film. Could have ended it with him surviving similar to the Superman Animated series.

@nibs - Although Zemo could not have been less necessary. Civil War is about the law that requires people with powers to work for the government. It asks the question, "What is more dangerous? People with abilities greater than the average human being or a government who controls them?" A villain that frames Cap's best friend is a complete and total distraction from that.

I think the villain was a bit unnecessary also, however with that said, he does sort of represent the Government's way of thinking. Both have effectively the same motives, the Avengers caused destruction while saving people and the loss of life motivates them to want the Avengers regulated or ended.

@nibs - Lol Civil War had rip for rip the same plot overall to BvS. Hero's being framed, collateral damage resulting in the deaths of civilians, family of victims speaking out against the heros actions, the need for government control, villains with convoluted plans that required exact precision to work, heros fighting each other almost to the death over matters that could have been resolved over a simple conversation, ect. One could only wonder if it was done intentionally as the directors of Civil War admitted that there were no plans for Csp 3 to be Civil War until they learned about BvS.

@BlackHulk - Wasn't it the whole point to break up the Avengers because they were too powerful together and no one had a leash on them due to ALL the collateral?

@Scarilian - I think JL2 will take the November 1st, 2019 release date.
