In an interesting, in-depth interview with The Playlist, Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man, Antichrist, Shadow Of The Vampire) discusses everything from his 35-year stint in Hollywood, to the directors he's worked with, to his many roles. Of course, one particular upcoming role has the CBM community very excited indeed.

The recent Justice League set reports confirmed that Dafoe would be playing an Atlantean named Vulko in the movie, but unfortunately the actor isn't interested in discussing anything related to his role. When asked about that and his co-star, Gal Gadot, he did confirm that he'd already shot some of his scenes and would be returning to film some more at a later date.

"She looks good. (Laughs) I don’t want to talk about that. I’ve got so many movies to talk about. I’ll let them orchestrate the publicity on that movie. I’m happy to be a part of it and when it comes out I’ll be talking about it ad nausea. I shot part of it and I’ll go back and shoot some more. This is a DC Comics ‘Justice League’ movie. Which is shooting now. Too soon to talk about."

Dafoe goes on to state that his role as the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man movie "helped terrifically" in boosting his career - though, in general, he prefers the freedom working on smaller projects allows.

"It’s more possible to make a personal, integrated film at a lower budget because you are responsible to less people to explain to them what it is. You don’t have to be so careful and so calculating. For a bigger budget you can make a more personal film, but it’s more difficult because you have to pay off the investment so you have to have it appeal to a lot of people. So, generally, I think I’m less involved in that because I think movies as their best really challenge how we think."

Be sure to head on over to The Playlist to check out the interview in full. Justice League hits theaters on November 17, 2017.

Somewhere in the multiverse, there is a perfect Batman movie and Dafoe delivers the greatest performance of his distinguished career in greasepaint... We, sadly, do not live in that world...

Love Dafoe. You guys should check him out in The Last Temptation of Christ. One of his best roles, IMO.

@Cedrichouse94 - LMFAO! No good movies from Ben Affleck? Did you forget his movie won BEST PICTURE lol

No good movies from Eisenberg or Ezra Miller? Go watch Social Network and We Need to Talk about Kevin. JK Simmons just won best supporting actor for Whiplash! Or do they not interst you because it's not 'explosions' lmfao

Like 'Carl' Urban is a better actor than JK, Ezra or Irons LOL!

The DCEU has some of the best talent involved right now. Don't let fanboyism cloud your judgement. Your Marvel agenda shows so much here.

Goldblum is obviously 100x better than Ezra Miller. He's in such great films like Independence Day 2 loool

@MosquitoFarmer - when was last good thing you seen henry cavil in? Or Jeremy irons? Or jessie eisenburg? Or Jason moamoa? Willam Dafoe hasn't done anything good since green goblin his stuff been straight to dvd. Ben affleck and jk simmons only good thing and even Ben affleck writer couldn't even write good superhero movie vs marvel where there getting actual talented actor high calbor and talented directors like scott dereckion and james gunn and freaking Ryan coogler and taika waititi. Where dc doesn't even know what to do and big actor don't even wanna join there jumping over to marvel movies
