SWEEEET!! I've seen some character sketches and color comps that looked excellent. Clean strokes like in a typical current DC toon, but a bit more detail.

I'm hyped up for this one.

@ 99: Thnx for the cast list. That's the (altered character) list for the cartoon, right?

Superbucks @ IRON BOY SUCKS! : P

Seriously, changing stuff around for the worst, only makes things worst for the comic book world.

I know for a fact people get put off by buying comic books because all they know is that cartoon or movie etc and its pretty sad not many see the damage putting crappy cartoons etc out does.

Whats wrong with quality, does everyone prefer quality?

; D

grif- Hell yeah jlu was really great.
This looks like it will be pretty corny.

Kinda off the subject..was the teen titans cartoon any good?

... I am really excited for this, especially if they do it in the same 'style' as BTAS and Justice League, even more so if it's in the same universe (which I expect Bruce Timm to push, since he's in love with it an all). As long as it's not as cartoonish as Teen Titans was, it seems like it's gonna be a pretty good cartoon.

Which is why Arrowette has been my avatar for weeks now, haha.

@JonSolo: Teen Titans all depends on the episode and if you like Japanese Cartoons. Some of the stuff is really great (especially when Slade/Deathstrike is involved). It's all a matter of taste, however, so check it out. The later stuff is the best because it got a bit darker in tone.

I'd love for Paul Dini to get back into the DC animated Universe Batman: TAS remains one of the best portrayals of the character ever.

I was a huge fan of the comic until they turned Lil' Lobo (my favorite character) into a pussy!!! After that, i just flat out quit buying them! And this series looks like a bastardisation of the classic comic. I don't want them to [frick] it up! I really hope they pull it off.

LEEE- Actually, Marvel is kicking DC's ass with Spectacular Spiderman and Wolverine and the X-men. Ironman Armored Adventures is decent even though they [frick]ed up the characters. I hate DC's constant "old school" style, they had something goin' with "The Batman" and they stopped it before it got to fall into Justice League, ...bastards!!!

JonSolo- I'm with Upupandaway on that, it was decent when it got dark. Before that it sucked. Too kiddie like.

Leee: My nephew loves Iron Boy. He's only two though, so it's cool by me.

So that really is "Aqualad"? WHAT are they thinking? I know, they're obviously NOT thinking at all! Horrible!

The Teen Titans got to be really good in its last couple of years or so. The early episodes are really silly. I find that's true of a lot of animated hero series. X-Men Evolution was kind of silly at first, but when they got away from the "high school" stuff and were building towards the appearance of Apocalypse, it got really good.

Shaman: I also loved the Young Justice comic, especially the early ones. I also hope they can find that "magic" that made the comic so enjoyable.

Haven't seen many of the newer Spectaculars, but I've really liked what I have seen. Wolverine & the X-Men is one of the best things on tv, along with Brave & the Bold. Personally, I love the show's old school style. It reminds me a LOT of the Batman I found on TV as a kid watching New Adventures and the Super Friends.
Shaman
Shaman - 3/24/2010, 8:27 AM
comicb00kguy- I can see why you enjoy Brave & The Bold so much since you grew up with that style. But i just totally fell in love with "The Batman". It had everything i wanted out of a batman animated series. I was never ever a fan of bruce timm's blocky animation. The stories were awesome in Batman: TAS but that's as far is it went for me. It lacked the "wow" factor for me.

And i have no idea if they'll be able to pull off the epicness of the comic on tv. They certainly seem to be starting off on the wrong foot. But for all we know, it could maybe even be better than the comic LOL. I doubt it but we never know ;) Lil' Lobo really did it for me in the comic. He just brought such a vibe with him that completely took it to a higher level of fun. But it all came crashing down when he lost his muscles and machismo.

Now I don't believe what I just saw...an African-American Aqualad. What the hell. Why not use Static Shock? At least he is an original creation and not someone taking the name and abilities of an established character.
