With March 18th fast approaching, a new clip from Zack Snyder's Justice League has been released which takes us to the DC Universe's fabled "Source Wall" to revisit the legacy of each team member. That's not all, though, as this sneak peek also elaborates on the origins of the Mother Boxes.
This will serve as the opening sequence for the "Snyder Cut" on HBO Max, and it does a great job of highlighting the director's unique, stylised take on the DC Extended Universe. There are plenty of fun nods to each of the hero's respective histories here, too, and we think you guys will dig this.
In an interview with IGN, Snyder said the sequence is one fans should keep a very close eye on. "There’s a million Easter eggs," the filmmaker teased. "We just all started doodling and it became this fine art piece on its own that really talks about the Mother Boxes and the characters’ origins, and I find it really beautiful and immersive, and yeah, it’s super fun."
In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes.
Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions. The movie premieres on HBO Max on March 18th.
