Snyderverse Declared "Dead" By Insider; Says DCEU Actors Are "All Gone" Ahead Of DCU Reboot

Seismic changes are being made to the DCU under DC Studios' watch, and one reliable insider has now suggested that Henry Cavill isn't the only DCEU actor set to receive their marching orders. Check it out!

While it's been reported that DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran will present their plan to Warner Bros. Discovery bosses this week, it's clear they've already been given the go-ahead on a number of projects.

Among them is a Superman movie written by Gunn that will serve as a reboot for the Man of Steel in the new DCU. That means no more Henry Cavill, of course, but will whoever plays the younger Clark Kent end up hanging out with Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa's Aquaman?

Probably not.

Reliable insider @MyTimeToShineH recently Tweeted out, "In case it wasn't [clear] by now - they're all gone. The ending of The Flash won't matter either way. The Snyderverse is officially dead." The scooper would go on to add, "James Gunn is doing a full reboot. He wants a clean slate."

This was to be expected and doesn't bode well for the rest of those DCEU actors. Wonder Woman 3 recently stalled and there have already been rumblings about Jason Momoa swapping Aquaman for Lobo, so a full-blown reboot of the DCU is clearly the plan. Unfortunately, that essentially makes all of 2023's DC movies completely obsolete.

Unless DC Studios plans to keep a few familiar faces around (which would be very confusing), Shazam's story will soon end, The Flash's Multiversal madness is irrelevant, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is just another comic book movie.

The DCEU had a good run - it launched in 2013 with Man of Steel - but never quite worked. A reboot is a necessary evil at this point, even if it means bidding farewell to some great actors.
